John Anderson

John Anderson is co-founder of The CEO Advantage, and a senior Advisor. He was instrumental in developing The CEO Advantage™ content and approach, which incorporates best practices and tools from key business thought leaders, including Verne Harnish (Mastering the Rockefeller Habits), Jim Collins (Good to Great and Great by Choice), and Patrick Lencioni (The Five Dysfunctions of a Team and The Advantage). John developed The Success Map™, which enables CEOs and their executive teams to chart their course and stay on it.

Prior to advising CEOs and their teams, John was a successful entrepreneur and business owner. As co-owner and President of Gorman’s Business Interiors, John increased sales from $4.5 million to $12 million in five years. His success was largely attributed to an innovative reward system that enjoyed accolades from several leading business publications.

In addition to founding the Detroit Chapter of the Entrepreneurs Organization, John has been a member of the Greater Detroit Chamber CEO Roundtable and a board member of Leadership Oakland. He is an alumnus of the INC./YEO/MIT Birthing of Giants program, and past member the Oakland County Business Roundtable Committee.

Having built, led, and advised companies in a wide range of public and private industries, John helps executives and entrepreneurs develop vision, build strong management teams, and increase results at all levels. He also specializes in building functional management teams of family businesses, creating organizational alignment between family and non-family members.
